Three Sugar Loaves Demo… Manager arrested

*Three Sugar Loaves have now dumped all exotic meats and have changed their menu.

Last night 15 activists protested outside the Three Sugar Loaves, 1 Christmas steps, Bristol BS1 5BS Tel:01179 292242… please contact and complain.

The demo was the noisiest yet with two megaphones on the go, highlighting the abuse the Three Sugar Loaves is involved in: murdering Crocodiles, Kangaroo’s, Ostriches and Wild Boar for their menu.

The managers of the pub are still refusing to give us a clear answer on the issue and protests will continue until the exotic animals are removed from the menu and a pledge has been signed to never sell these dead animals again.

A Tasmanian Forester (Eastern Grey) Kangaroo in motion.Last nights demo was however a great success with members of the public joining the demo and customers actually leaving the pub to go else where, not to mention the manager actually being arrested for going completely mad and running out of the pub with a base ball bat to attack protesters. His attempts to assault protesters were cut short when three police officers were forced to hold him down, he broke free and lunged at a protester but the police were quick to restrain him again and cart him off to the station. BARC believes he may actually be charged with assaulting a police officer as the manager threw his arms around, inevitably hitting and pushing past police officers.

Such a shame he chose to keep our exotic cousins on his menu in the first place, all this could have been avoided. BARC is now calling on the manager to contact us and arrange for a signing of the pledge, once this is done BARC will not be protesting there again and we can move onto our next targets but until he does this BARC will continue to protest and continue to raise awareness about these animal abusers. Animal abuse will not be tolerated by BARC. The manager of this pub should make the right decision before its too late for him to make any decision at all! As we have seen for ourselves customers already going else where!

The best part of the demo though was watching five or so squaddys just back from Iraq who left the pub in an attempt to give a hunt sab a kick in trying to catch him!! Of course the protester out ran the Squaddys by miles, when they were 5 minutes down the road the hunt sab had run half way to Cardiff!!! BARC has never laughed so hard!

Demo’s are being arranged and for info of up coming actioins against this abuser and many more, please contact this number… 077240 77505
